Alone

She comes upon you slowly,
You unaware-
Almost ignore her presence.
Until,
She in anger of being ignored,
Delivers her lethal blow,
Right to the gut,
Right where it hurts,
Punching all the air from you.
In an almost paralyzing gust.
Looking around everything is empty and bleak,
Nothing feels as it should,
Your heart burns, yearns for that missing something…
To be there, solid, alive, warm.
Yet, all that exists is the fuzzy painful memory,
Reminding how at this point,
You feel completely alone.
